About ESI

Engineering Software International, Inc. was founded to enable engineering designers to perform the calculations required in their daily activities in considerably less time (thereby significantly enhancing their productivity).

Building systems technology has reached a new level of maturity that will require considerably more engineering sophistication. The driving force is the requirement for improved energy efficiency, compatible with the long-range objective of sustainability (while providing improved performance).

It was with this vision that Bill Coad founded the company to enable design engineers to better accept the challenges that will face them.

The Board Chairman and designer of the ESI programs is William J. Coad, P.E., FASHRAE. The Vice President of Engineering and author of the calculation programs is Albert W. Black, PhD, PE. The President of ESI, David Pollack, adapted the screen designs and calculation programs to Internet technology.

The Programs will be continually modified, expanded and updated (at no additional cost to our Members).

The ESI team has worked throughout the world on HVAC systems, and has observed that differences in cultures have little to do with the similarities in bringing comfort technology to the populace. Thus, although the present version of the ESI Programs is available only in English and IP units, future plans include SI units as an option, as well as French and Spanish versions.
